Hi
Hope everyone has a great festive season.
Ok many of you will have noticed some changes have been made to the UK/Eire gallery.
Unfortunately these changes have been forced upon us by a couple of members taking it upon themselves to screen print the new issues page and unlisted new issues page and send it to someone who then sent begging letters for beermats with the screen prints and full "Beemat Mania" headers to the breweries, one in particular.
One of these members also sent out the newest BBCS monthly magazine to this person.
An official email was received from the brewery demading us to take the images down else proceedings could be taken against us.
I spoke to the Promotions Exec at the brewery and apologised and was told the name of the person who contacted them.
It is such a shame that members of BMM and the BBCS in their greed for new issues spoil it for the rest of us. Shame on you and you know who you are. If you had any decency then hands up and apologies would be most grateful.
So the following changes have been made to the gallery.
The "Latest Additions" page has now gone as has the 2 rows of latest additions that appear at the bottom of each page.
The unlisted new and new issues sections have also gone.
All images/mats from these 2 sections have now been incorporated into the main brewery sections. The unlisted mats appear at the end of each brewery page. This gives the advantage of members not having to go through multiple sections to see if mats are listed. So if you come across a mat that seems new to you simply check the brewery page and if it's not there then please send the scan in. All members still receive credit for sending images in as before.
Beermat Mania is 20 years old this year and to get such an email from a brewery is a kick in the teeth for all the hard work we've all done over the past years. I don't want to receive any kind of email or complaint like that again. I hope you all understand the decisions made.
Best regards
Marc
